Jill Marie Fernando specializes in training people, for a better relationship and understanding of their canine companions. Especially helping to understand the importance of BENEVOLENT LEADERSHIP, how important it is for your CANINE to receive ample mental and physical stimulation daily, giving your "pal" discipline around the home, car and elsewhere, as well as LOVING YOUR DOG fully! Our Reward Based Training techniques (use of operant and classic conditioning) are covered in our PUPPY FOUNDATION PROGRAM and LATE START FOUNDATION PROGRAM. We work with aggression, fear, all phobias, lack of attention and a plethora of dog behavior problems with our reward and marker systems to insure the best possible results with plenty of practice working out the kinks of the dog's issues. We have helped many, many dogs since 1993 to current with fear aggression, dominate issues, noise aversion & dog aggression with excellent results. And we have donated many free hours to adopted dogs from various rescue groups to help with transition from shelter life to living in new homes. Jill has also have been a pioneer in the sport of Canine Musical Freestyle, exhibiting this sport for over 10 years, and is active in the Obedience competition trials and tournaments and conformation rings, with all of Jill's dogs. Many of Jill's students have competed at the All Star Performance Dog Tournament and have earned Rally and Obedience Titles as well as Therapy Dog volunteering and programs for "reading to dogs." Jill and her dogs have been involved in many aspects of dog sports including agility, therapy dog work, rally and Mondio Ring sport. She has taught her two current canine companions to understand the French language for use when practicing skills for the obedience portion of Mondio Ring sport. Many of Jill's students compete and/or volunteer regularly. Jill says "depending on your goals with your dogs, I encourage handlers and their dogs to enjoy what they learn and if that is enough, then we do not push people to compete if that isn't something they feel comfortable with." Everyone here leaves with smiles and energy after classes, seminars and/or camps. *NOT ONLY DO WE USE REWARD BASED TRAINING FOR THE DOGS BUT WE ALSO REWARD HANDLER/DOG TEAMS THAT TAKE OTHER CLASSES HERE ONCE THEY COMPLETE FOUNDATION TRAINING! WHAT KIND OF REWARD FOR THE HANDLER? ONE FREE CLASS EACH TIME YOU SIGN ON FOR NEW CLASSES!!!!!!* | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
